How Did Mother's Day Start?
Mother's Day in Australia is celebrated on the second Sunday of May but, why do we celebrate it?

Mother's Day history dates back to 1924 in Australia, when it was first celebrated. It is said to have been set up by a Sydney woman, Ms Janet Heyden, who urged businesses to donate gifts to women in hospital who had been negatively affected by World War I. In modern days, Mother's Day has become an unofficial holiday where mothers, and other female relatives, are celebrated by all who love them with cards, gifts and often nice meals.
